Sunset Safety Agency is hiring BSIS-licensed security professionals across Orange County. Modern equipment, real training, consistent assignments, and a founder-led operation where officers aren't a number. Same-week starts available for qualified applicants.
Licensed PPO #121577 | California BSISMost private patrol companies treat officers as commodities. We built Sunset on the opposite premise: service quality is bottlenecked on people — and quality people stay where they're respected.

Every Sunset officer is issued an Axon Body 4 body camera, a clean uniform, and access to a well-maintained patrol vehicle. Our patrol vehicles are dispatch-connected through 10-8 Systems CAD, so dispatch knows your last logged location when you need backup. Body cameras protect you as much as the public — every interaction is documented and reviewable.
New officers go through field training before being assigned solo to any property. You'll ride with experienced officers, learn the post-order documentation system, and get hands-on practice with citation issuance, body camera operation, and incident reporting. Ongoing training covers de-escalation, parking enforcement law (including CVC §22658), and the specific protocols for each property you're assigned to.
Rotation is sometimes necessary, but we structure assignments to keep officers familiar with their properties. You'll learn the residents, the managers, the regular vehicles, and the patterns that matter. Familiarity makes the job easier and the service better.
Sunset Safety is founder-led. When something goes wrong on a shift — equipment failure, a difficult resident, a question about a tow — there's an actual decision-maker available, not a layer of regional managers between you and the answers you need.
We staff to the contracts we have. We don't promise hours we can't deliver, we don't shuffle schedules without warning, and we don't expect officers to absorb a vendor's planning failures.
Sunset Safety Agency has grown every year since founding in 2022. Growth means promotion paths, supervisor opportunities, and the chance to be part of building something real — not just punching the clock at an established company.
Ride along
What a typical evening patrol shift actually looks like — from the locker room to the last report of the night.

17:45
A shift starts in the locker room at HQ — uniform squared away, duty belt checked, Axon Body 4 pulled off the dock and clipped on. Everything you wear is issued; nothing comes out of your pocket.

18:00
The rundown before wheels roll: which properties you're covering, what changed since last shift, and what to watch for. Field supervisors brief in person — you never guess your post orders.

18:30
You draw a marked, maintained agency SUV — dispatch-connected through 10-8 Systems CAD — and start your route as the sun drops. Patrol officers never drive their personal vehicles.

22:15
Gate checks, lot sweeps, vandalism and dumping checks. Every finding gets photographed on the spot — time-stamped photos and digital activity logs are how your work gets counted and credited.

01:30
Reports are written in the vehicle on the mounted data terminal — not scribbled on a clipboard at the end of the night. Clean documentation is a skill we train, and it shows in your file.

04:00
The Real Time Information Center is staffed around the clock. Need a supervisor, a tow coordinated, or backup routed your way? One radio call — you are never on your own out there.
Times are illustrative — shifts run days, swings, and overnights. Every visit is documented with time-stamped photos and digital activity logs.
Issued, not promised
No “equipment coming soon.” This is the kit our officers carry today — photographed on our own fleet and team.

Issued to every officer, every shift. Footage protects you as much as it protects the public — every interaction is documented and reviewable.

You patrol in a marked, maintained agency SUV on a regular service schedule — never your personal vehicle.

Mounted data terminals run 10-8 Systems CAD, keeping you connected to the dispatch desk for the entire shift.

Patrol and Class A uniforms are provided by the agency. You show up sharp without buying your own kit.
Private patrol is honest work that takes real skills. We hire for:
